I became a Shared Lives carer in 2010, following a career in teaching. In 2016, I founded Local Social CIC, a social enterprise, that intentionally builds on the assets of local places, bringing people together to form friendships and mutually supportive connections in Ware.. Local Social now runs six weekly ‘cafes’, attracting 130 people a week. I have lived in Ware for over 30 years, am a Board member of Community Alliance, love nearly all sports and go almost everywhere with mydog, Bronte.
